Allegheny County Reassessment Appeal Group
Skilled legal counsel to help guide you through the reassessment appeal process in Allegheny County
This year, more than 600,000 parcels of residential and commercial land have been revalued in Allegheny County, averaging a 58 percent increase in reassessment values that are slated to affect property taxes and millage rates in 2013. This steep increase, paired with the confusion surrounding changes in appeal deadlines, the appeals process in general and recent court rulings, prompted attorneys at Burns White to formally establish a designated Allegheny County Reassessment Appeal Practice Group.
Knowledgeable and experienced in a wide variety of real estate assessment matters, attorneys of the Burns White Allegheny County Reassessment Group are assisting commercial and residential clients with:
-
Residential and commercial reassessment appeals
-
Property value research and comparison
-
Filing of formal and informal appeals
-

-
End-to-end case management

New assessment values for the city of Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh’s eastern and southern suburbs have been released, and reassessment values for the remaining parts of Allegheny County will be distributed in the near future.
