Ben Sorisio concentrates his practice in the areas of construction law and complex commercial litigation.
Mr. Sorisio primarily represents design professionals in contract review and negotiations, risk management, construction litigation, arbitration, mediation and fee collection matters. He also advises clients on corporate structuring, business formation and professional licensure matters.
Mr. Sorisio has represented architects and engineers in litigation arising out of projects for the construction of educational facilities, professional and collegiate stadiums, arenas and athletic facilities, and municipal water treatment improvement projects. Mr. Sorisio has also secured mechanics’ liens for architects and contractors throughout western Pennsylvania.
In addition to his construction law practice, Mr. Sorisio has also defended products liability and general liability matters on behalf of businesses from diverse industries.
Mr. Sorisio obtained his Juris Doctor in 2000 from the Duquesne University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
Mr. Sorisio is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and the United States Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
