Stephanie Solomon
Stephanie Solomon is an Associate in the Litigation Group, focusing her work on commercial litigation and professional liability litigation. Ms. Solomon has a particular emphasis on the defense of lawyers and law firms against liability claims and disputes, where her extensive background in complex commercial litigation and business torts gives her a unique understanding in addressing the challenges these clients face.
In addition, Ms. Solomon is experienced in all facets of insurance defense, including coverage disputes, negligence, premises liability, product liability, unfair trade practice, bad faith/unfair insurance practices and employment law.
A well-rounded litigator, she has handled all phases of litigation and case management, including briefing and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, responding to discovery, counseling clients and conducting settlement negotiations.
Ms. Solomon received her Juris Doctor from Duquesne University. During law school, she was a staff member of the Duquesne Law Review and worked as a clerk for the law department of the City of Pittsburgh. She also served as a research and teaching assistant, as well as a volunteer for the law school’s Low Income Tax Clinic. Ms. Solomon also received her Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and journalism, cum laude, from Duquesne, where she was a contributing writer and editor for the Duquesne Duke Newspaper.
Ms. Solomon is active in the volunteer efforts of the Women’s Group at Burns White through her participation in the Beginning With Books program in the Pittsburgh Public Schools. She is an avid runner and former participant in the Nike Women’s Marathon and a member of the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society Team in Training.
