Brett J. Lean

Brett J. Lean is an Associate who focuses his litigation practice on long-term care and medical and nursing home malpractice defense. Mr. Lean also has experience with commercial litigation, professional liability, and labor and employment law.

Mr. Lean joined Burns White in 2008 after working at firms in New Jersey and Philadelphia, where he represented companies and organizations in various commercial, insurance, construction and personal injury matters.

A graduate of the New York Law School, Mr. Lean interned with the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General and clerked in the litigation department of a New Jersey defense firm while in law school. He also was active in his law school’s moot court association, the New York Law Society Student Bar Association and the Corporate and Business Law Society. Mr. Lean received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in international studies, from Muhlenberg College.

Mr. Lean is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York courts, as well as before the U.S. District Courts for the District of New Jersey and the Middle and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American, New Jersey and New York bar associations, as well as the New Jersey Defense Association.
