John M. Skrocki
John M. Skrocki joined Burns White as an Associate in 2007 when his long-term care practice group joined the firm. He had been with his former firm, McKissock & Hoffman, P.C., since 2000.
Now a Member of Burns White, Mr. Skrocki focuses his practice in insurance defense, including nursing home, medical malpractice, premises liability, products liability and general liability. He has extensive jury trial experience in medical professional liability cases.
Mr. Skrocki has addressed Pennsylvania Bar Association continuing education audiences on the subject of nursing home litigation. He co-authored the article, “Confidentiality Under the Pennsylvania Peer Review Protection Act,” published in the Pennsylvania Medical Director’s Association quarterly PMDA News in 2006.
He is a 1987 graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law. Following graduation, he served two years as a senior law clerk for the Hon. James C. Crumlish, Jr., president judge, Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania. Mr. Skrocki received his undergraduate degree in Political Science in 1982 from Swarthmore College.
He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
